Rodney A. Klein, Esq.

Mr. Rodney A. Klein began his career in personal injury law in 1964 after graduating from the University of California, Hasting College of Law. While attending college, he was an insurance adjuster for the Continental Insurance Co. Logically he gravitated to defending insurance companies and defendants in lawsuits. In 1967, the law firm of Virga, Fields, and Klein was formed. Judge Michael Virga and Judge Alan Fields eventually became Superior Court justices, and Mr. Klein formed his own law firm in 1969. In 1970, Mr. Klein who was active in the first of many mass tort litigations, was involved in the first successful lawsuit against the manufacturer of oral contraceptives proving that they caused blood clots in women.

From the early 70s until today, Mr. Klein has been active in mass tort and class action cases. He has represented severely injured plaintiffs against manufacturers of products that have injured large numbers of individuals. These include the manufacturers of: oral contraceptives; the Dalkon shield; diethylstilboestrol (DES); diphtheria, pertussis, & tetanus (DPT) vaccines; Bjork-Shiley heart valves; breast implants; and most recently tobacco products.

Rod Klein has been among the leaders in all of the above mass tort litigations and active on committees and involved with the medical discovery in the litigation of these mass torts. Since 1970, the Klein Law Firm has represented clients from all over the United States and many foreign countries. Since 1972, the firm has represented the countries of Sweden, Norway, and Denmark relative to major mass and class actions and matters of product liability. The Klein Law Firm has battled multi-national companies with unlimited legal and financial resources, and has been successful in prevailing for its clients.
