Liver Damage Due to Orlistat (Xenical) - May 28, 2010
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has reported that there have been 13 cases of severe liver injury associated with taking Orlistat. 12 of these cases of severe liver disease were over seas, but one has been reported from someone in the United States taking the medicine Alli, which is the over the counter form of this medication. Orlistat is used as a weight loss medication and the Alli is the form most commonly known in the United States. Inflammatory Bowel Disease due to Accutane - May 28, 2010
The medicine Accutane that has been used to treat severe acne, has been reported to cause inflammatory bowel disease. Geodon/Tardive Dyskinesia - December 27, 2009
The law office is evaluating individuals who may have been injured by the medication Geodon in potentially causing the serious condition known as Tardive Dyskinesia. Geodon has indications for schizophrenia and manic depressive disorder also known as bipolar disorder. There have been issues of off-label use of this drug for other conditions including depression and anxiety. Off-label uses of a drug are unapproved uses, which may not be appropriate uses. Geodon does carry risks of serious side effects including a condition called Tardive Dyskinesia, a serious movement disorder, that often involves loss of control of facial muscles.
